Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

Went to see “The Fall Guy” in IMAX, very fun popcorn movie, some good laughs, awesome stunt work (not surprising considering the director and stunt team involved), superb cast, both leads had amazing chemistry BUT the script is the weak link. “The nice guys” or “Kiss kiss bang bang” this is not. Still a good times at the theater and will buy the 4K Blu-ray for sure which I am certain will be demo-worthy.

I watched Wanted last night on BluRay. Its been a few years since I watched it last. I'm a little disappointed in the soundtrack as nothing stands out as amazing for gob stopping. I do enjoy the story line very much.

The Fall Guy downloaded to my Kaleidescape last night, it's on tap for our viewing pleasure this evening.
 
I finally got around to watching Gravity on BD the other day. It was my first time hearing the Atmos track in all it's glory. I streamed it on Apple TV a month or so ago, but the BD blew the stream out of the water. It was very impressive!
 
Watched this last night on Apple TV. Fairly entertaining for sure.

Maybe it's me, but I don't think Jennifer Lopez was the right one for this part... she just doesn't fit it (for me).

Charlize Theron might have worked better.

I'm not a fan of JLo but I have to give her credit as she did it a good job in this role.

Here's my take: It's an awesome movie. It's an AV spectacle. But—and I'm probably in the minority here—I don't think I'll be re-watching these films any time soon.

It's weird to say that about a film(s) series of this caliber, but I think the pacing and length of both films are too thick for me to watch from the beginning until I've completely forgotten about the story lines.

We like to experiment a bit and watch some lesser-known films. Last night we watched Downtown Owl. Despite being written by Chuck Klosterman, it was terrible. That was a big miss.

I watched Godzilla: Minus One on Netflix the other night. I have to say this is probably my favorite Godzilla film of all! Very well made and amazing that the budget to create was only $15 million!

A mixture of that and John Wick with maybe a sprinkle of Kill Bill. Fantastic movie that doesn’t take itself seriously.
 
I watched this last night. This is easily a reference quality bluray for showing off one's system.

The wife and I watched The Fall Guy last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!
 
I finally got around to watching The Creator. So far this is my favorite 'AI vs. humans' flick of recent production. Nice sound design, too!
