REW Beta Release REW API beta releases

I'm using Rew version 5.40b73. REW API server is running.
I get an error when I click on the green start optimization button on the html page. What is the reason for this, where am I making a mistake?
[WARNING] Error connecting to REW API server:
[WARNING] Please start the API server from "REW/Preferences/API/Start server". Retrying in 10 seconds...

I'm guessing that relates to the OCA script, you should ask on an OCA thread.

Hello
my REW for example REW_windows-x64_5_40_beta_73-api but also older versions that worked no longer work.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled REW and the problem persists. REW starts, but it freezes and you can't select anything, after a while it switches off.
Relatively new I have the MiniDSP DDRC-24 and miniDSP Device Console can this be related?

Kind regards
Thorsten

Nothing of note there. You could run the uninstaller with the option to delete preferences in case some preferences are a factor.

Thank You. It helped delete preferences

John, is it possible to increase the memory? (It's currently set to 3GB.)
I don’t remember the exact error message because I just shut down REW whenever that error window popped up, but it was something like an “overhead” error.
There were several fairly long 1/A files, and when I tried to Align Sum them, the error occurred.
Even excluding those, I think there were about 30 measurements in total.
If it’s due to memory allocation, would it be possible to assign more than 10GB?

In C:\Users\<your user name>\REW look for the file rew_output.txt and attach it here.
After a long struggle, nothing has changed. In the Preferences window, the server appears to be running. But I see an API server error. Please find me a solution.

The help explains how to change the memory allocation. The current memory usage is shown at the bottom left of the main REW window. It is very unlikely that you could exceed 3 GB of memory allocation with 30 measurements. Please use the option in the help menu to generate a diagnostic file and attach it, that should have a record of any error messages.

Anyone else getting a bug, where they right click one of the measurements on the left, and the menu does not disappear when you click away from it?

Another is where you right click the measurements and rename the measurement, and the right click menu does not disappear after renaming it.

The only way to make the menu disappear is to click on the top menus, like preferences. This has been an issue for the last 5 or so builds.

I've often experienced that too. Whenever I did, I just restarted REW.

I've seen it on both my PC, and others when I'm remote calibrating. Basically, the context menu will not disappear.

I haven't encountered that and can't reproduce it. I can try adding something in the next build, but without a way to see the same behaviour it will be just guesswork.

Note that if you want to rename a measurement for the individual graph selectors (i.e. the ones you see for SPL & Phase etc) right click on the name.
