2023-2024 NCAA Football

Yep... that would have been the fix for sure. I was actually hoping Bama would get left out... really don't want to play any of those other 3 teams. That's bad because Saban and the team have proven me wrong so many times when I doubted they had the goods, although I am only trying to be realistic. The problem is nothing is realistic with doubting the Tide... I just need to shut up and let them play. :dontknow:

I have no skin in the game, but FSU got robbed. Injuries, whatever… those kids played their hearts out this year, had some nice, quality wins.

13-0, ACC Champs and they get jumped.

Crazy

I 100% agree!

They were. I blame it on a system where this was a likely possible outcome. Someone deserving was going to be left out.
I feel the same about Georgia.

LSU QB Jayden Daniels wins Heisman Trophy

from yahoo,

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night, becoming the first player since 2016 to win college football’s most prestigious player of the year award as part of a team that did not play for a conference championship.

The fifth-year player, who transferred from Arizona State to LSU in 2022, received 503 first-place votes and 2,029 points. Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. was the the runner-up with 292 first-place votes and 1,701 points and Oregon’s Bo Nix was third (51, 885), putting transfer quarterbacks in each of the top three spots. Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. finished fourth.

There were not a lot of players that stood out in a team with a championship record... so he was probably as good a choice as any.

I don't see robbery on FSU being left out, as this is how it should be... the 4 best teams and FSU was not one of the four best teams without their starting QB. We clearly saw that in their last two ball games. They will play Georgia in the bowl game, which may shed some light on why they were not selected unless they pull off a miracle similar to Bama, who had their starting QB.

ESPN has a story about FSU reigniting discussions about leaving the ACC.

Could the ACC be the next big domino to fall?

I know FSU wants out, but they will pay the piper to get out. I don't know that their leaving would hurt enough to cause them to fall apart.

That one was quite lopsided for sure... not even a good ballgame (except for USF fans maybe).

yeah, I don't like blowout games, just want to turn it off after some point! Close games are more exciting for sure.

Our Troy team couldn't pull it out... Duke was a bit much for them, but a valiant effort nonetheless.

South Alabama had a good showing for our state.

The better games are getting cranked up now.

Kentucky is showing pretty well against Clemson.
