Apple iPhone 8 (2017) event

I'm begrudgingly going to buy an 8...my 6 is beat to shreds. Battery life if terrible, lots of freezes... ugh.

You'll miss out on taking really great photos and video for the blog. And the X is higher than 1080 resulotion with WCG and HDR, the new Netflix app. for iPhone will utilize.

Todd, I agree with phillihp23, for picture/Video, the X will be hard to beat.. I think it is meant for blogs/forums, etc., from the specs anyways.

My only issue with it is overall size. I have a small 6... and the case carries my license and a few cards.

No longer carry a wallet.

The bigger phones are just a tad too big to constantly carry as a "wallet."

The 8 must offer some image upgrades over what I've been using, right?

I think you'd be better off antying up for the X Todd. You might want to peruse the Apple site and compare specs on the two phones. If you use your phone for pics/videos both shooting and watching the experience should be vastly improved on the iPhone X.

Sounds like a good excuse! Right now, AT&T is running a deal for the 7 and 7+. You buy one and you get the second one free!. I imagine by the end of next year the same deal might go for the iPhone X.

I watched the big reveal and thought, meh! Looks like iPhone finally got what Android has had for years. I still use a Galaxy S3 for my personal phone and an iPhone 6 for my work phone. Don't think I'll upgrade either of them this go-round.

I upgraded from a 5 to a 7 and the best feature was the camera quality. The 7 takes fantastic pictures and video video, is as good as my Panasonic Video camera although the zoom still gets somewhat grainy when fully zoomed.

My work phone is a Samsung S6 and it sucks, battery life is awful and it just does not seem intuitive. iPhone just works better.

The X is only millimeters differant in size from the iPhone 7 & 8....unlike the 7 &8 plus which are larger and still have smaller screens than the X. The X gains screen size by having edge to edge screen. When you say 6 you mean 6SE?

My 7 Plus fits in my pockets and the X will be smaller and have a larger screen. Granted, I don't/won't wear skinny jeans.

Yes, it's smaller than the 8 Plus. If you go to Apple's site it will let you compare all of the specs in a side by side manner.

Interesting that the X screen size is larger then the + even though the + phone is larger. If I was ready to upgrade I would get the X for sure but I usually keep a phone for at least two years before I do.

The X has no bezel and is all screen.

What is the one you sold worth? Ive never had one but the idea of smart watch intrigues me.

It retails $399. I bought for 330 plus tax on sale. Listed for 325 or offer. Sold for 310. Problem is I have to wait for ebay to settle the non-pay bidder before I can resell.

Not me I can tell you that. My entire ecosystem is Apple. I tried android awhile back and the freezing of apps was maddening. Not to mention the bloatware was pretty unbearable also. Just not my cup of tea.

I never used Samsung.. I do like the bigger size of the Samsung Note 8 as well as the use of the stylus.
