Apple iPhone 8 (2017) event

Different strokes they say. I know a lot of people who are avid fans of the Note phablets. I've always been a bit jealous of their OLED screens because they are spectacular. Now that Apple has finally adopted I'll no longer have that feeling. :T
 
If you read above, my wife and I gave the Samsung S8+ a try. The hardware is excellent, but the software is lacking. The apps are still crashing / freezing. I supposed this is an Android issue and not Samsung issue. I used to be an Android user, but the apps just work better with Apple. So, my wife and I switched to Apple many years ago.

This is why I'm a fan of Apple's ecosystem. While they may be late to the party with the specs and features when they implement it's usually (always IMO) done right. We pay a premium for a refined experience. Not to mention the speed tests are usually dominated with their inferior hardware?
 
yeah, while, I never owned an android, I have friends who have and complained about them..

Best to stay with apple. :)
 
That is interesting and I didn’t know those existed. I think unless you need more than the 256 GB model most people won’t need a flash drive. The 64 GB model isn’t enough for me but the 256 GB is more than enough. So for myself I’ll still need to foot the bill for the higher storage capacity. I suppose I could split hairs and try the 64 GB and add another small flash drive and save a few bucks.

I thought it was an interesting means of transferring or storing files as there are so few alternatives for Apple products as they push us to use the cloud. A neat idea for storage of things you don’t necessarily need to have with you all the time or if your running out of cloud storage. I might pick one up down the line. Not going to change my choice on the 256 iPhone x though. Sad that Apple boxed us in without a 128 gb version.
 
True, because the 128 GB is perfect and what I currently have on my 7 Plus.
 
I saw an article in regards to the X phone being delayed due to the facial recognition.. Something about the parts for that feature not being available..

I may get the 8 if the X takes too long to get.

I can image pre-orders won't be received until December or January at the rate of talk about delays...

I just switch from Verizon to AT&T for cellular service since I've got AT&T Internet and DirecTV, I was able to get 2 iPhones 8 Pluses 256 GB, and 1 iPhone 8 64 GB for the price of 1. However, they didn't have any of the iPhone 8 Pluses 256 GB in stock. I hope I don't have to wait that long.
 
That is a good deal.. Hopefully the iphone 8 plus 256gb will be in stock soon.

This happens after every Apple iPhone release.
 
Looks like it is isolated so let's see what Apple investigation reveals.
 
It’s looking like the iPhone X is going to be hard to get your hands on. I’m reading reports of expected delays until February of 2018! If that’s the case I’ll just stick with my 7 Plus and see what’s in store for the next release.
 
Yeah, I was thinking of going with the X but I think I will go with the 8 plus or 7 plus with 64gb..

I currently have a 5s with minimum storage..
 
Yeah, might be time to upgrade. I think the price difference between the 7/8 Plus is negligible. Might as well go with the 8 Plus since you apparently hold onto your phone for awhile. Although the size difference will take you awhile to adjust to coming from the 5s. Once you’re acclimated to it there’ll be no going back though.
 
Yeah.. Are you getting a case protector as well? Have they come out with good one's for the 8s?
 
No, if I can’t get my hands on the X then there’s nothing substantially better on the 8 Plus compared to my 7 Plus. Yes, it will be faster but my 7 is plenty fast enough and measures faster than any current android currently out even though it’s a year old. As far as cases for the 8/8 Plus yes there’s a plethora to choose from. The cases are always ready before the phone is even released.
 
Great.. Will most likely get something during the thanksgiving holidays. :)

Rumor is X Plus release next year. If the X has the screen real estate of the 8 plus in a 8 size what kinda real estate they gonna provide in a X Plus... furthermore what will be the cost $
