Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

Finally watched....

Spanglish.

What, 15 years later?

We watched Rampage last night. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the Rock's crossover film between Jumanji and Skyscraper, right? With a little Sharknado thrown in?

Watched Taken 2.

Enjoyed it!

Had some travel recently and plowed through some classics:

Body of Lies
Seven
and The Departed

Great films!

Watched Isle of Dogs last night. I'm not a fan of Wes Anderson, but I loved the Fantastic Mr. Fox, so I thought I'd give this a try. Couldn't stay awake.

Watched Deadpool 2 last night. Excellent movie!

Deadpool 2 was a blast!

Marrowbone! Highly recommended and reviewed here by @Michael Scott.

We watched The Breadwinner last night, finally. I believe it made it onto my radar from a @Michael Scott review.

Anyway...it was a heartbreaking story, but a very well-done film. I appreciate having these types of films to watch every now and then with my 12yo, not just to break up the onslaught of superhero and Star Wars movies, but to give him a bit of reality, a little reminder of how lucky we have it in our extremely imperfect place on earth.

Hit the local ArcLight theater and saw Mission Impossible: Fallout.

LOVED IT

We watched Hereditary in 4K last night. Very creepy and very good. Highly recommended!

Watched Hereditary Friday and Upgrade and Adrift Saturday. Hareditary I had seen at the theater and thought it was just ok. Upgrade now that's a highly recommended movie imo. Lots of action from start to finish. Adrift was a good romance, peril movie based on a true story. Both Upgrade and Adrift was reviewed by @Michael Scott here for anyone interest in reading his review.

Movie night with the Mrs.... finally unwrapped my copy of Manchester by the Sea.

Wow ... was not emotionally prepared for that story!

Great flick. But if a downer

Mission Impossible on 4K BD

AWESOME! A+

Big Fish & Begonia

I tried it @Michael Scott! I appreciated it for the art it is... but the genre is just a tad too outside of my wheel house. Definitely an interesting first time experience!

Watched MI:2 in 4K.

This film is my least favorite of the series... not sure if I love the stylized late 90s John Woo influence... thought the video transfer was ok, but nothing spectacular. Audio was nice and full, which was a plus.

Probably won’t watch this one again

yeah, if your'e not a huge animated fan or a fan of movies like the Studio Ghibli Miyazaki films it may not strike a chord for you.

Watched the original Halloween - an all time favorite - with my oldest daughter. Her first time seeing it. Had a blast!
