Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

Toy Story 4 - Excellent.

Finally watched 'The Avengers: Endgame.' It was a great conclusion and I'm excited to see what Marvel has in store for the next phase of the MCU : )

You've Got Mail

Never had seen it... wish I hadn't watched it.

Oh?? She's a fan of "Mail"?? :gulp:

She's a fan of that genre. :rolleyesno: That's why I almost always pick out the movies.

The Irishman on Netflix was outstanding! Highly recommend.

Widows was a pleasant surprise. Excellent and highly recommended.

Incredibly long but well worth it.

We watched The Irishman last night. Enjoyable, yet long.

We just watched The Peanut Butter Falcon. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Watched Men In Black International last night. Kind of a fun flick - just don't expect too much out of it or take it too seriously. Soundtrack, upmixed from DTSMA 5.1 via DTS Neural:X, was pretty involving at times. Blu-ray picture quality was quite good - sharp and deep with nice colors. I borrowed this from a family member - otherwise I would have done the 4K disc with Atmos. Still, technical quality was very good.

We watched Angel has Fallen Saturday night. My wife doesn't usually enjoy action films, but she did enjoy this and so did I.

We watched Ready or Not last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mindless slasher flick with a touch of comedy. Highly recommended!

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

I loved it. My wife and daughter? Not so much. But I love Tarantino movies and they rarely do.

I finally (FINALLY) watched Atomic Blonde. It was ok. Had some highlight moments... I think I'll give it another at some point.

I did enjoy the 80s european music track... good stuff. 4K image was awesome! Sound, excellent.

This one arrived today...seems like space is a big topic of films...

Revisited Les Miserables (2012) last weekend. Such an incredibly moving story. I'm still not in love with Hugh Jackman singing this particular type of music (although he is a great fit elsewhere, such as Greatest Showman). Same with Russell Crowe. But no matter - I'm not ashamed to admit shedding more than a few tears on both ends of the emotional spectrum :)

Hotel Mumbai.

Wow. Amazing film... incredibly intense. Extremely graphic violence (No joke).

About to sit down and watch Moon. Update: This was a interesting movie. Those moon vehicles sure look cool. Overall while the movie takes place in space the underlying theme is genetics. What goes on here is kinda scary.
A three year expiration date would suck!

Thanks for the reminder. I wanted to see this movie but never had the time. Will try and check it out during the holidays.

Creator/Director is David Bowie's son... Duncan Jones. We graduated from college together, although I only talked to him a few times. Was definitely interesting when his Dad and super model wife showed up at our graduation. I stood beside him in line at an event. ;-)
