Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

Watched " Power Rangers". Not my type of flick. Definitely intended for the teen crowd. Couple scenes were cute, or humorous. Particularly some of the dialogue with the droid on the ship. You for sure must have clued in at this point that Redbox is running out of material for me to watch .
I couldn't even finish it. Only watched it for the 4K but it was horrible.

Not as good as the first one then? I had it on my list. Should I just cross it off?
I thought JW2 was great. If you liked the first you'll like the second.

We watched Hidden Figures the other night. Not much to say about the audio and video as it's a very dialogue-driven film. However the movie was great and very inspirational. I highly recommend it.

Not at all, still worth watching. Just not as good as the first.

Finally got a chance to see the movie "Lion" on Netflix.

Wow, this movie is very moving. I was very impressed with the actor who played young Saroo. I am equally impressed that as an adult, he could remember things from his childhood. I barely remember last week, let along anything a few months back.. Wow.

I agree, a very moving film.

Finally watched Fate Of The Furious last night... awesome movie. Lot's a great action.

You know, I only saw the first movie and never caught any of the remaining movies. I always thought they were just repeating the same stuff, maybe I need to check out the franchise again..

To be quite frank... I never was a fan of the Fast and the Furious, but I watched them anyway. This one was quite a bit different from any of the previous... at least it was to me. By far the best.

Passengers was really good to me but my wife loved it considering it is a love story set in space. I enjoyed the LFE :)

The BFG is a really good family movie.

I will have to check out "BFG".. It has high reviews from google as well as from rotten tomatoes.

The animation is excellent and the story is heartwarming with lots of great LFE moments as the giants stomp away.

Cool. I will definitely add it to the list of movies to check out. Thanks again.

It is on Netflix just in case you didn't know in case you have Netflix :)

I do have Amazon prime and Netflix.. Will add it my list to watch soon. Thanks again.

A buddy of mine recommended a movie called "Deliverance". It is an older movie made in 1972 starring Burt Reynolds and Jon Voight. I never saw this movie so he let me borrow his DVD.

Wow, This is one interesting movie. Definitely not for family viewing. The river scenes are amazing especially the rapids but the story is even more interesting in regards to their journey or their survival in the wilderness so to speak. I can't give out more if you haven't seen this movie but what a tale this movie gives. It is based on a book from what I hear.

Yes a great movie yet disturbing. Without ruining the movie the squeal like a pig scene stays with you.

Oh man, I didn't read anything about this movie so that scene was a total surprise. Good thing I was the only one watching this movie.. lol.
The challenges those guys had to go thru.

Note to myself, never go river rafting in the mountains.. :)

Besides the nature scenes, the acting is amazing. Especially considering how young the actors were in that movie.. Also, the climb on the cliffs..

I might have to see it again now that you mentioned it. Yes solid acting a young Burt Reynolds and John Voight.

This movie is definitely worth watching and for that one disturbing scene you can close your eyes.
For the nature scenes such as the the river, the rapids, the cliff climbing, etc. is well worth watching besides the excellent acting .. wow..

It's $9.99 at Best Buy. I might just buy it being so cheap.

Looks like there is a blu ray version available. I only saw the DVD version but I am thinking the blu ray should be better at picking up the nature / river / cliff scenes.
