Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

So does that mean, the movie was just not that entertaining so you guys decided to stop watching it?

Once I start a movie, it is very difficult for me to stop it and then watch it later the next day..

Once I start, I have to finish it.

Well, we were tired and it started rather slow. We got a late start because we watched the Royals game first.

The book is a phenomenal read loaded with way more detail... read it first, then watch the flick. ;-).

The Lost City of Z was just ok for me. Somewhat slow and just meh overall.

Don't just take my word for it. Watch it for yourself because you might like it. It's gotten positive reviews so I'm in the minority.

Watched The Fate of the Furious the other night. Pretty enjoyable popcorn flick. I haven't been an avid fan of the Fast & Furious movies, but I've watched most of them, and this is more of the same.

The Adventures of Tintin

This movie holds up fairly well compared to the comics version. I used to read the Tintin comics when I was a young kid.

Ive found the key is to keep your expectations in check, and then it won't be so bad (usually . . .)

Alan, which Magnificent Seven did you re-watch? The 1960 version or the 2016 version? I really wish the updated versions had a newer name.. Gets so confusing.

Yeah, I know that it wasn't terribly well-liked by critics, but I rather liked that one too. May have to rewatch it in UHD and Atmos when I have that ability.

I saw the 1960 version probably back in the '60s...I should rewatch it so I can give a fair comparison. I really like the new one, though!

Yeah, it would be interesting to see if the 2016 version is just an updated but exact copy of the 1960 version or if it is slightly changed..
