Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

Watched Pulp Fiction while I caught a workout and breakfast today.... for the eleventh-thirteenth time.

What film.

That was a long workout and breakfast! Did you have bacon? Bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste good.

The first time I saw Pulp Fiction I was very excited. And when it was over, I was disappointed. After a couple months of all my friends ranting and raving about how great it was, I decided to give it another chance. It was like seeing it for the first time.

The first viewing was in an old, classic theater, with an old, classic sound system, a.k.a. garbage. Turns out I had missed probably 2/3 of the dialog. Upon viewing in a better room with a better sound system, even though the sound on Pulp Fiction isn't great, it instantly made my Top 10, and still resides there today.

Last night I started watching Dragged Across Concrete. It was a $.99 rental on iTunes last week so I grabbed it.

It is not at all what I was expecting, and it is also much longer than I was expecting, which is why I have only started watching it. I have about 40 minutes to go, but I must say, I'm enjoying it even though it's much darker than I expected. It's very slow and deliberate, with a sparse audio track. Does a good job of setting a mood, and I'm enjoying it. Well worth a dollar.

I watched 'Time Bandits' last night. It was a fun oldie : )

That's really cool, Todd! : )

It's crazy how those memories stick in your head... I was kid living on Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines when that flick was released.

Re-watched Get Shorty last night and today we finally went and saw Avengers Endgame. I thought AE was a bit long and kind of boring for the first couple hours.

Watched "Us" earlier in the week, and I loved it. The acting was fantastic, I thought it was a better film overall than Get Out.

Rewatched The Hangover... again.

Love it

Darkest Hour - I loved it. My wife fell asleep!

Pleasantly surprised by Cold Pursuit with Liam Neeson.

Welcome to Marwen - I enjoyed it.

Shazam! We loved this one! :T :T

The Professor and the Madman with Sean Penn and Mel Gibson. Interesting true story which we enjoyed.

The 4th or 5th version of A Star is Born. I really liked the first half but then meh. Overall, I did think it was a bit better than all of it's predecessors. Just wish they would have made a change, maybe a redemption story where Jackson recovers and ...

Alita: Battle Angel was a very fun movie. I hope they do a follow-up continuation.

Watched The Upside last night. Wife and I enjoyed this and would recommend it.

Pleasantly surprised by Cold Pursuit with Liam Neeson.
Watched that one with my wife last night. She doesn’t normally like comedies, but this one was only lightly seasoned, so passed the WAF test. Good suspense, but wasn’t in the mood for the gore last night. It was a 4kUHD rental, but the soundtrack quality was anticlimactic streamed over Prime on the PS3.

Watched "The Box"... seemed like it had potential but then fell off a cliff.

Watched Avengers: Endgame last night and thought it was a fitting end to the series. Highly recommend.
