Absolutely, my guess is we’d be in agreement more times than not on movies.
 
Watched Ambulance on Kaleidescape in 4K.

great movie…video is crazy good. I think this one is going to go down as one of the great 4K disc releases!
 
Saw the latest Dr Strange movie in the theater. Was very enjoyable but I thought the violence could have been brought down a notch.. A bit too much for me. Still,a good movie to see. Special effects were impressive.
 
So much hype around Top Gun: Maverick I had to pull the trigger. Going this afternoon and watching in a Dolby Cinema. I’ve yet to hear any negative reviews so needless to say I’m excited.
 
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore - it was ok. Wasn’t as bad as the worst reviews said it was. I’d give it a 7/10.

It is the number 1 movie and has made tons and I mean tons of money!
 
I can let you know when it comes out anywhere but a movie theater! :rofl:

I cannot think of any title coming out that would compel me to visit a local theater. I can wait.
 
True, nothing beats watching on a nice home theater setup but once in awhile it is good for an outing for the family.. :)

I have it preordered on Kaleidescape and I don't have any intention of seeing it before it lands there.
 
I bet I’ve been to no less than a dozen different theaters here in the Twin Cities and I have yet to find one that doesn’t have serious issues. Either the sound is off, the video is messed up, the place is filthy, etc. Or any combination of those things. The Dolby Cinema here is ok but not worth the 30 minute trip for an expensive ticket/concessions.

Every year up until COVID I gave them a chance only to come away extremely disappointed. And I have no idea why anyone with a home theater would want to go to one unless their home theater is worse?? I’m sure people have valid reason. I do not.

It was outstanding! Definitely worth the price of admission. I can’t wait to watch it at home.

The Valet, Old, Death on the Nile, She Dies Tomorrow, Emergency and Scream 2022.
 
We watched Everything Everywhere All At Once last night on the Kaleidescape.
Guys, it has better bass than Ambulance.
 
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - wouldn’t buy this one but it’s ok to rent or stream (as I did). Marvel needs to stop kicking out numbers and start thinking a bit more about quality. This film was a waste of Benedict Cumberbatch’s talents. 5.5/10
 
Interstellar for the first time on the projector. :T
 
I watched the The Gray Man on Netflix. It's a fun action packed flick!
 
The Black Phone was a really good movie.
 
Belfast - I can see why it won several awards, particularly for screenplay. I thought it was a very moving look at that particularly violent era in Belfast. Definitely worth a watch and it's streaming on HBO Max right now.

Next up will be Licorce Pizza.
 
Licorice Pizza - this one was nominated for several awards too and to be honest, I’m not exactly sure why. It’s a decent movie and a decent storyline but there must have been a lack of competition in order for this one to get recognized. The acting was very good so maybe that was it. Worth a watch as it’s streaming on Prime right now. Neither of these last two are worth a purchase IMO.
