Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

Watched Gran Turismo last night, only on streaming but wow what a good movie. Definitely going to add the 4K version to my physical collection.
The disc is fantastic. I'm interested to hear what you think about the difference between streaming and disc. I think some of the scenes on the disc are demo worthy.

Haven't seen that either, might have to stock up :)

I just finished Ip Man from 2008. Whoa, what an experience! Great story, fantastic martial arts scenes, and the bass track was outstanding. If you haven't seen it yet please check it out. it is well worth it!

Im grabbing this disc this weekend for the comparison.

It’s definitely worth the purchase. I don’t think you’ll regret it!

Wow, that's an old one, but always liked Ip Man, I'm sure there was a new one, as for the Bass, there must be something wrong with my system, didn't think it was that oustanding :)

I mean, it wasn't Lucy or Halloween Ends by any stretch of the imagination. But it had enough of an impact for me to notice it and it added weight to important scenes in the film.

I watched these films;

This two nights ago. I wouldn't recommend it. I bought it used for cheap and its the only reason I have it. I may get rid of it.

I watched this last night. I highly recommend it from a story perspective despite Shia Labouef having a lead roll. Soundtrack is OK. Nothing jumped out at me.

I remember watching Eagle Eye... that was a good movie. I may have to go back and watch it again.

I’ve never seen Eagle Eye, but I’ve heard good things. Maybe it’s time for me to check it out.

You won't regret it. Its actually a very good flick.

Looks like that there's not any alternative to phisical media, long live Bluray :) :)
There are a few options:

There are a few options:

I get to watch it for free as many times as I want with physical media. The streaming services have their use for me as well for movies that I'm unsure off to purchase or just to watch for something different that I don't want to buy. I have use for both and having accessibility to both has definately altered the way I purchase media and what I watch as well.

Speaking of streaming LOL, I watched this last night on Netflix. I quite liked the story and acting as well as special effects but the audio track was a little disappointing to me for the lack of bass.

I watched The Avengers (2012) with my son a couple days ago. I hadn't seen it in a few years. I definitely had not seen it since I got my OLED and new subs. It was never my favorite Marvel movie for A/V even though I had heard some people say it's pretty good.

Seeing it with the OLED and hearing it with some proper subwoofers changed everything. I really enjoyed it! Way more than I ever had in the past. Amazing what some decent gear can do for your movie watching experience.

Finally watched Gran Turismo last night and it was a good movie. Fantastic A/V!
